HEY! I'M YANA
VILCHYNSKAYA
|
I began performing when I was about 9 years old and have not stopped since. I went on to pursue a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre at Temple University, while there I explored all assets of theatre production including performance, choreography, and directing. Recently I have even explored pit playing. When not on stage, you can find me playing guitar or lacing up my boots for a hike.
Thanks for being here!
Stay awhile!

Yana went on to pursue a BFA in Musical Theatre from Temple University, graduating summa cum laude. There, she explored all facets of her artistry including choreographing, directing, and teaching. She found that no matter the project, her throughline was always community. Yana believes theatre is a light in this world inviting folks to enter as strangers, but leave with shared experiences and new ideas. This coming together guides her journey in the industry as she continues creating meaningful theatrical works with an emphasis on community.
Born in Minsk, Belarus, Yana Vilchynskaya immigrated to the U.S. at six years old. A quiet and shy child, she was enrolled by her parents in a youth production of Annie. This quickly ignited a passion for performance. Yana had a newfound home where she felt safe, supported, and inspired.
